How To Get Involve

HELPING HANDS FOUNDATION SIERRA LEONE welcomes organisations which wish to get involved in its activities and programs. Such members are classified as Network Members.

 

NETWORK MEMBERS

 

This shall consist of community-based organizations that work with HELPING HANDS FOUNDATION SIERRA LEONE. They shall be based in their localities and must have proven records of working in the interest of women.

 

To be eligible for membership, a community shall send an expression of interest letter to the nearest HELPING HANDS FOUNDATION SIERRA LEONE District office or focal person.      

 

An organization shall also become member when nominated by at least two third members of the National Executive Council.

 

A Network of members shall be provided with capacity building support and shall fully participate in the activities of the Coalition.

 

Network members shall also participate in the quarterly and annual Partnership District Level Meetings and development planning of the organization. 

 

There shall be a network membership agreement between the Network members and HELPING HANDS FOUNDATION SIERRA LEONE. 

 

The National Executive Council shall approve and or suspend, terminate the membership of a network organization’s agreement with HELPING HANDS FOUNDATION SIERRA LEONE based on recommendation of a committee so appointed for the purpose.  

 

Membership to HELPING HANDS FOUNDATION SIERRA LEONE shall be voluntary.

 

CESSATION OF NETWORK MEMBERSHIP

 

1        Membership shall be lost when a member(s) send a written declaration denouncing his/her/membership.

2        When a member fails to participate in the group activities without valid and acceptable reasons and a committee establishes this to be the case. 

3        When a member acts contrary to the ideology of the Network.

4        When the National Executive Council proves that a member is not seeking the interest of the Network as established by a committee for the purpose.

          Network membership is strictly on a voluntary basis.

Solidarity with the Helping Hands Foundation Sierra Leone has been one of the most brilliant and effective women’s projects in Sierra Leone. We are sincerely grateful to those who have so far participated and played key roles in this endeavor.
